Winter guard season has struck again and it is time for the guard to brake away from the band and fly solo! This year
the winter guard is putting on an awesome show! It is called the Underworld. The guard has been practicing every morning from
6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The guard has been putting so much hard work and dedication into this years show and we hope it will
be great. Please come check us out at the upcoming competitions in the month of March. We will keep you posted on all that
is going on.

The guard sucessfully performed their show at the castle faire this past Thursay. The guard was excited and ready to roll
when they arrived at Onate at 7 in the morning. They set up and then practiced and helped put together the band booth.
When they were done they had lots of spare time before the eighth graders showed up so some danced to the grooves
of the jazz band warming up, others practiced, some talked for a while, and others made sure everything was
just perfect seeing as how the guard was the first to perform.
The show was stupendous and everyone enjoyed it! The eighth graders were excited about the high energy show and
with every new twist in the show aws were heard through out the audience. The guard walked off with a sense
of accomplishment knowing that they had performed a great show.
